Digital Branding, Web Design
Postlight is a product studio in New York with significant clients like Vice Media, New York City, MTA, Bloomberg, and Mailchimp. We completely redesigned the digital branding, and a fresh new website design was phase one.
With the Postlight CEO Rich Ziade’s words:
“Don’t just make it look good, make it tell the stories with our clients.”
Researching many competitors and approaches and understanding how Postlight solved problems for their clients, we took on a journey to come up with a solid design solution. Started with initial drafts and mockups.
INITIAL EXPLORATIONS IN PARALLEL TO THE NEW BRANDING:
TYPOGRAPHY & COLORS
Postlight works with major clients. It became clear from our extensive explorations that overly creative and experimental approaches would not be effective. The design had to effectively showcase the impact of Postlight's successful stories.
While we received some design suggestions from Postlight's branding agency Unfold, we encountered repetitive visuals that needed to be addressed. Consequently, we continued to iterate on the designs.
The feedback from Postlight shareholders significantly contributed to the exponential growth of the design. As we iterated through the design process, we were able to pinpoint and implement improvements on a screen-by-screen basis.
After 4 months of work, we successfully developed a unique, storytelling design language that is aesthetically pleasing.
Overall design and relaunch of the website is highly welcomed by both the Postlight shareholders and their respected clients, as they were also involved for final approval of their cases, making us feel proud of the outcome.
