Product Design, UX Research

Wadi successfully served over 30 million customers as a prominent online retail platform in the Middle East before being acquired by the Majid Al Futtaim group. Our team played a key role in defining and developing UX and product design materials designed to drive sales conversion and enhance the overall user experience.

BACKSTORY

Wadi was a project with a focus on e-commerce, and the main priority was to improve revenue performance rather than just making things visually appealing.

Before making any design changes, we thoroughly reviewed the overall design. After conducting 2 months of user experience research and analysis, we prepared a report highlighting usability issues and conversion roadblocks.

PROCESS

Once we defined the issues, our next step was to solve them. We have created an updated home, product listing, PDP (product detail page), and cart scenarios to boost conversion rates and minimize product/cart abandonment.

VERDICT

With a platform hitting 1 million product sales/month, there was no room for error. The design and functionality updates returned %7 increase in sales and %5 deduction in shopping cart abandonment.

Wadi continued to grow at a significant rate until it’s acquirement.
